Crack Seal

Why does pavement crack? Because asphalt ages and deteriorates, owners and property managers should review the surface condition of their asphalt surfaces at a minimum of once a year. Walk the asphalt pavement and look for changes. Look for wearing and cracking. Look for changes in the surface cracking, expanded cracks, and for new cracks. If the surface has been crack sealed previously, look at the condition of the crack sealant and extensions of any cracks from the previous crack seal or new cracks. Look for cracked areas indicating any surface failures.
